Wenatchee Valley College breaks ground for new Music and Arts Center

A successful $6.6 million capital campaign, with a lead gift from the Icicle Fund, made it possible for  Wenatchee Valley College to break ground on July 14, 2011 for the its new Music and Arts Center. Housing space for recitals, rehearsals, recording, studios, instruction and a gallery, the 29,000 square foot facility will provide students with a state-of-the-art facility, the community with a new arts venue, and the Wenatchee School District with a solution to the issue of building a new space for the Westside School. As one community leader put it “It’s a rare opportunity when so much can be achieved through one project.”
