We award grants to non-profit organizations who develop the Wenatchee River Watershed and North Central Washington as a region where nature, the arts, and the area’s natural and human history encourage appreciation, understanding and stewardship of this special place.
Over the past couple of decades, Icicle Fund has supported more than 100 non-profit organizations in NCW. At the Fund’s core is the individual and collaborative work of five founding organizations. These are Icicle Creek Center for the Arts, Wenatchee River Institute, Chelan-Douglas Land Trust, The Trust for Public Land, and The Nature Conservancy.
We value projects and initiatives that foster a collaborative atmosphere, connect people to place, and are aligned with the Icicle Fund mission. We fundamentally believe that by working together we can increase the impact of organizations across NCW. When mutually beneficial, we encourage exploration of collaborative relationships with one or more of the Icicle Fund founding organizations.
We have changed our grant program and now provide three different avenues of support. Each organization may only apply for one Icicle Fund grant per year.
- Initiative Grants – Single-year grants of up to $7,500 open to all non-profit organizations. The next application deadline is April 3rd, 2017. Application materials are now available.
- Strategic Project Grants – One- or two-year grants of $15,000 or more open to all non-profit organizations. The next LOI deadline is February 10, 2017. Application materials are now available.
- Founding Organization Grants – Available only to the five founding organizations.
